Technical prerequisites

  • In regard of connectivity and quality, we recommend the use of a LAN connection instead of the use of wifi.

  • Please make sure that you are using the latest version of your internet browser. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer as browser. Please also make sure that you do not open too many tabs in your browser.

  • Please make sure that your audio and video quality is sufficient.

  • In order to visit the industrial exhibition, the minimum requirements are 4GB RAM and a DUAL CORE CPU 2x2.6GHz

As regular participants

Please check whether your browser and operating system supports the use of Vimeo.

As active session participants (chairs, speakers, ePoster authors)

  • Please check whether your browser and operating system supports the use of Zoom.

  • Please check whether you installed the Zoom client for meetings.

  • Please make sure that your connection speed provides 2 Mbps upload, 4 Mbps download or better. You can test your Internet connection speed here.

  • Please make sure that your audio settings are appropriate. You can check your settings in advance here. You can improve the quality by using a headset.

  • We advise using a laptop or computer in order to guarantee an optimal visualization. Of course, the use of mobile devices is also supported.

Code of conduct – General rules

  • Please use your real name unless your pseudonym is generally known.

  • Please use a profile picture (portrait, face not covered) so that participants can identify you and can get in touch with you more easily.

  • Recording presentations in any form (audio, video, photo) as well as distributing the material is not permitted.

  • Politeness and respect are of highest priority.

  • Please follow the chairs’ instructions.

  • Personal offense, racist and sexist comments are not permitted, and will be deleted accordingly.

  • Spam and ads are not permitted either and will be deleted accordingly.

The organisers retain the right that they will exclude anyone who does not follow the rules listed above.

Registration and Log-in

Registration for the meeting is possible via Registration.

You can access the digital congress page via www.wcnr-congress.org.

If you have already registered, you can reach the login portal of the meeting by clicking “Log-in”. Now you can enter the world of the digital WCNR 2020.

Data privacy protection

Please note that the on-demand material will be available to all registered participants until 31 December 2020 (subject to the authors' consent). Presentations will only be stored and made available for the time agreed to by the authors. Further details can be found in the imprint of the digital congress at www.wcnr-digital.org.

On demand - congress material on demand

The congress material will be available on the congress website at the end of each day.

All presentations will be available for individual review until 31 December 2020. Please also note that authors are free to decide whether their talks may be available online after the meeting. Therefore gaps in the programme may occur. Please also note that the study of the contents of the scientific programme after the meeting period is not recognized by the medical chamber and is therefore not certified.

Session structure

Seminars), symposia, industrial symposia, events for young clinicians, joint symposia, developing world forum, oral communications, special issue sessions on COVID-19, special lectures (memorial lecture) 

  • Run via pre-recorded presentations only 

  • During the session, participants can ask questions via the chat function below the stream (throughout the entire session) 

  • Right after the lecture or at the end of the symposium, the question and answer session (live) follows, alternating with the respective answering speaker or the chairperson(s). 

Opening and closing ceremony, plenary lectures, round tables 

  • A combination of recorded and live presentations is possible - depending on the speaker's preference 

  • During the session, participants can ask questions via the chat function below the stream (throughout the entire session) 

  • Right after the lecture or at the end of the symposium, the question and answer session (live) follows, alternating with the respective answering speaker or the chairperson(s). 

ePoster  

  • Registered participants can view the ePosters and any accompanying presentations individually and at any time. There are no fixed ePoster sessions.  

  • The ePosters will be available after the congress, provided that the authors have given their consent.
